Description
The Picker Packer is responsible for accurately preparing and fulfilling customer orders to ensure customers are completely satisfied with their order. The Picker Packer must be able to prioritize competing tasks, organizing their daily assigned orders in sequence of urgency. The incumbent must be driven to meet deadlines with exceptional accuracy. They will work as part of a team, following direction and working under the guides of Stanfield’s set practices and procedures to uphold and remain true to Stanfield’s legacy.
The Picker Packer must adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety Requirements as per company policy and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and pack customer orders following all procedures and guidelines
- Packaging, labeling and pricing goods for retail
- Assembling products into display cases to meet customer expectations
- General material handling functions using carts and pallet jacks safely
- Pay close attention to inventory related tasks using a scanner gun to ensure accuracy
- Interacting with all peers and managers respectfully and professionally
- Proactively fill pick bunks from over stock as required
- Perform basic data entry functions in internal computer systems

- Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health and Safety company policies and government legislation/regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Warehouse experience is preferred but not essential as we will provide on the job training on a range of equipment and operations
Skills include
- Effective customer service skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Basic mental math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task, work within a fast-paced environment, and prioritize conflicting demands

Working Conditions
- No frequent or regular travel as part of the job
- Plant/Factory/Warehouse working environment
- Physical demands: Moderate Intensity. Walking, standing and lifting boxes up to 50lbs. Push/Pull pallet jacks – with load weights up to 800lbs
- Mental effort: Low intensity with occasional higher levels of mental effort
